Would you like to be an under-shepherd?

What does an under shepherd do?

An under-shepherd makes a conscious effort to be aware of several friends and to follow up with them.

If there were needs, the under-shepherd would let an elder know of the need and be the contact person for the elder.

Under-shepherds are also the conduits for communicating with the body. For example if the elders need to survey the body, that would be handles through the shepherding lines.

I Peter 5:2-4 "Shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory."

Would you like to be a part of our shepherding ministry?

Is God calling you to serve?

Are there areas of ministry within the church that you feel God is leading you to take part in? Do you want to be involved somehow, but don’t know where?

Right now, there is a display in the Narthex that highlights many different ministry area’s within the church (if we have missed an area, let us know!). There are a variety of opportunities that could appeal to every interest and talent. Please spend some time in prayer and ask God if and where He is directing you to serve, or to start a whole new ministry!
